Mr. Potato Head

Daniel has become quite adept at giving Mr. Potato Head faces. It's very amusing to see what combinations he comes up with. Unlike me, he is not tied down to "real" faces...

More Yoga Anyone?

After I posted the other yoga photos I knew that I wanted to have more of them, so the next time they asked to do yoga I got out the camera as well. These are some of their favorite poses:

This is Snake Pose (Cobra). Johnny loves to pretend he's a snake, and hisses.

This one is called "Butterfly Pose", complete with antenna! Their legs flap up and down like butterfly wings. Daniel can do this one all by himself :)

This one is called "Triangle Pose". It's quite tricky (at least for the boys) because it requires them to be balanced. (What you can't see is that I'm holding on to his other hand while taking the picture at the same time). Johnny's just starting to get the hang of it.

This is Johnny's all time favorite, called "Turtle Pose". In the first picture he has his head tucked into his shell, and then he lifts it out and says "Hello!"

Here Daniel is practicing his deep belly breathing. Sometimes we put a stuffed animal on his tummy so he can see his belly rise and fall.

Books, Books, Books

I guess it's not suprising that the boys love to read, given their parents love of books. They love to read both by themselves, and with us. They already have a great big bookshelf full of their own books. The one they are looking at here is very much a favorite, called "Dinosaur Roar".

Sleepy Daniel

I don't get many opportunities to snuggle with Daniel anymore... he's on the go all the time. The only time he wants to cuddle is when he's very tired (or sick). Where has the time gone? Where's my little baby?

Spring is here!!

It's warm out! The grass is green! Flowers are popping up all over!

Yoga Boys!

The boys have really gotten into Yoga recently. The library has a video they love. Here's Daniel in "Down Dog"(Downward facing dog) and Johnny in Tree. We'll have to get some more pictures of some of the other poses that they love. Johnny in particular loves a pose called "Turtle Pose".

Shoes

Recently Daniel has been trying to wear everyone's shoes. He is able to put Papa's, Mama's and Johnny's shoes on all by himself, but his own shoes are too much of a challenge right now. Since we don't want them wearing their shoes inside we keep having to ask him to drop them over the gate into the kitchen, which he does suprisingly cheerfully! It's gotten to the point where he throws everyone's shoes over the gate as soon as we take them off :)
